Emilio Williams (Fade to White) is a bilingual (Spanish/ English) award-winning writer and educator. His critically acclaimed plays have been produced in Argentina, Estonia, France, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Emilio has lectured around the world and taught creative writing in several U.S. universities. He holds a BA in Film and Video and a MFA in Writing. Karin Hedetniemi (Starshine on the Shenandoah) is a writer and street photographer on Vancouver Island, Canada. She's inspired by ordinary beauty in quiet places. Julie FitzGerald (Nevada: Rest Stop, NV167) enjoys writing about place and its effects - how it shapes people’s lives, their attachments to each other, and their sense of self. She is currently working on Sagelands, a memoir exploring wellness, specifically desert wilderness and ecotherapy, whilst studying for an MA in Biography & Creative Non- Fiction at the University of East Anglia. Peter Bethanis (The Humma) has published poems, essays, and art in several journals including Poetry, Country Journal, Tar River Poetry and Atticus, among others. He has won the Eve of St. Agnes Poetry Prize, and is the author of two books, Dada and Surrealism for Beginners and American Future.

The Red Scarf by Jennifer Y. Montgomery

Jennifer Y. Montgomery (The Red Scarf ) is a writer, artist, storyteller, attorney, and pie baker who lives in Connecticut with her daughter. She grew up in rural North Dakota but has no discernible accent. She has also lived in California, Minnesota, Scotland, Israel, and Connecticut. All of these places have influenced her life and writing. Her poems have appeared in Poetry Quarterly, Enclave, Jitter, Haiku Journal, Failed Haiku, and elsewhere. She has told many stories on stage and has been featured on the Mouth storytelling podcast. She believes that truth is stranger than fiction and authenticity is the highest art form.

The Domain of Courageous Men by Margaret Hedderman

Margaret Hedderman (The Domain of Courageous Men) writes about the outdoors: environmental science, the use and abuse of wild places, and where we go from here. She is also the founder of the annual Women Outside Adventure Forum. Her experience as a backpacker, climber, and backcountry snowboarder informs and inspires her work. She is currently developing a collection of essays about self-propelled carbon neutral travel and climate change. Margaret holds an MA from the University of East Anglia and lives in Boulder, Colorado.

Pileated in Humboldt Country by John Van Kirk

John Van Kirk’s (Pileated in Humboldt Country) short stories have earned him the O. Henry Award (1993) and The Iowa Review Fiction Prize (2011). His work has been published in numerous journals, as well as several anthologies. His novel, Song for Chance, was published in 2013 by Red Hen Press.

Charlie J. Stephens (Kaleb Blackgoat) is a queer fiction writer living in Northern California. Charlie has lived all over the U.S. as a bike messenger, wilderness guide, bookseller, and seasonal shark diver (for educational purposes). Charlie’s work has appeared in Original Plumbing (Feminist Press), The Flexible Persona, The Forge Literary Magazine, Gravel Literary Magazine, Rappahannock Review, Not Your Mother’s Breast Milk, and Nothing Short of: Selected Tales from 100 Word Story. Memory City by Melissa Holbrook Pierson

Melissa Holbrook Pierson (Memory City) is the author of five books, including The Place You Love Is Gone and The Perfect Vehicle. She also co-edited and contributed to the anthology O.K. You Mugs: Writers on Movie Actors. She writes from, and sometimes about, the Catskill Mountains of New York, which is where she moved when New York City would no longer have her, or vice versa.

American Boys Are Fast But Not As Fast As Ginger Boys by Michael Kineman

Michael Kineman (American Boys Are Fast But Not As Fast As Ginger Boys) is an Anglo-American, born in the Midwestern United States but raised and educated in the British West Midlands. During his twenties, Michael worked in human rights law and taught English in the Far East before studying creative writing at the University of East Anglia. Memory, thirdculture identity and religious doubt are common themes in his writing. He is currently at work on his first book, The Fields We Used to Roam.
