Ordering from outside the UK

The products we sell are zero-rated for VAT to UK customers. However, your national government might charge VAT or customs tax. Please make sure you are aware of the tax policy in your country for imported packages containing books/magazines. Hinterland is not responsible for any charges you may have to pay in taxes or customs duty. We do not pay tax or duty on your behalf and this is your responsibility to pay. Many jurisdictions classify magazines as zero-rated for VAT like the UK, and single copies of Hinterland arrive with nothing extra to pay. However, please contact your local customs office to establish what charges you may incur from ordering from overseas with us. Hinterland is distributed internationally, so alternatively get in touch with your local bookshop who may be able to order Hinterland for you, saving you on postage and possible additional charges.

This also applies to annual subscriptions to Hinterland

Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If you are returning an order worth over £20, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing insurance.

Subscriptions: Please inform us within 14 days should you wish to cancel your annual subscription. If you have already received your first issue, please follow the instructions above to return it, or it will be deducted from your refund. Please note that after 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable, and will continue until the end of the yearly cycle.

Gifts: If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift credit will be emailed to you.
